What’s is all about?
Launched in March 2012, we have a team of Volunteers who are all local residents. They consist young mum’s, business men and woman, housewives and retired men and women. These Volunteers provide help for the residents of Rushmoor and Tilford, who need assistance, when none other is available.
How much does it cost?
Our Volunteers offer their services free. Where transport is provided we ask that a donation is made for the cost of fuel.
Is it safe?
All our Volunteers have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau, are fully insured and carry Identity Cards.
How does it work?
Just call Tarns on 07721013583 between 10 am and 5pm, weekdays.
A Co-ordinator will arrange for one of our Volunteers to help. (You may leave a message outside these times).
What kind of help is offered?
Transport to Hospitals, Doctors, Dentist, Optician, Chiropodist etc.,
Collecting Prescriptions
Lift to local shops
Collecting shopping
Befriending

Who can use the Scheme?
Anyone in the Villages of Rushmoor and Tilford who principally because of health, or whatever other reason, need a helping hand where assistance is not otherwise available.
What other benefits does the scheme have?
The scheme plays a key role in village life.
Creates a social bond between young and old.
Allows people to retain their independence and remain in their homes for longer.
Reduces the feelings of isolation and exclusion.
Lessens the impact to the ongoing decline in village services such as Post Offices, shops, and public transport.
Improves neighbourly spirit and goodwill.
